Review: Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen

I received Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen for free for review purposes as part of the Influenster program and I'm glad I did!

As anyone who knows me, I'm a complete skin/sun fanatic. If you go to the beach with me, I will be faithfully  reapplying sunblock every 2 hours and according to the "1 shotglass of sunscreen" guideline, and again after water. I've tested a ton of sunblocks so I was happy to get this one as part of the program!

It's described as "With its ultra-luxurious hydrating silk ribbons, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration™ lotion sunscreen nourishes and pampers skin while providing broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, and 12-hour moisturization when out in the sun.", Found $8.99 for 6 oz
(More information here!)

Although people often say all sunblock is the same, there's definitely a difference with  Hawaii Tropic's Silk Hydration. The best part is that, unlike 99.999% of sunblocks, it won't leave that gross white residue and you won't have to go crazy rubbing it in. Silk Hydration also has a nice smell, I would say almost like cocoa-butter in contrast to that distinctive SUNBLOCK smell.

Perhaps the only con (and this is a little one) would be to be careful if you have severe acne. As with any new face product, test a small patch on the back of your hand first, and make sure you aren't allergic to any of the ingredients. I've heard from other reviews that most people are fine, but it's better to be safe when you have bad acne :)

All in all, I really liked this product and will definitely continue using it after I've done with my trial size!

Pros: nice scent, no white cast, SPF 30 sun protection (you can also find it in SPF 12, 30, and 50)
Cons: be careful with sensitive skin!
