Today, I have some makeup brands that I rarely seen talked about in the makeup world: Bareminerals, Clinique, and Mary Kay:
First up is Mary Kay's At Play Baked Eye Trio in Ocean View.
Top Row: Dry
Bottom Row: Wet (damp brush)
Review: This is a palette that shines while used wet. Unfortunately on my green eyes, these aren't the most flattering colors. The silver/white is gorgeous though and I can definitely see myself wearing this for a dramatic white/black smokey eye.
BareMinerals in Velvet Green
This is a really interesting khaki green/brown matte shade that shifts depending on the lighting. The powder is really pigmented and easy to use. My favorite way to wear this is as a crease shade as it can really step a shimmery look up.
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Mightiest Maraschino
Wow, this is a great formula for a lipbalm! Excellent feel on lips, think of a better version of a Revlon Lip Butter. The red stayed on throughout most of lunch and wore evenly (it didn't come half off after eating a noodle, I mean). I prefer more dramatic makeup on my lips, so this is a relatively sheer application. You can definitely build it to a bright red. Overall, I would definitely pick up more shades (I'm looking at the Roomiest Rose perhaps?)
