Art Everywhere: Starting August 4

I'm super excited for the launch of Art Everywhere US. The movement to flood public spaces with great art first started by Richard Reed in the UK in 2013 with Art Everywhere UK. Now in the US, 50,000 outdoors displays on billboards and subway platforms across the country will display 58 selected artworks.

Jasper Johns, Three Flags to be seen in Art Everywhere US

Art Everywhere US is a collaboration between five major museums (Art Institute of Chicago, Dallas Museum of Art, LACMA, National Gallery of Art, and the Whitney in New York) granting the Outdoor Advertising Association America (OAAA) permission to use the images. The long list originally contained 100 American artworks and has been shortened to 58 classics of American art.

Some of my personal favorites include the Jasper Johns (above), The Child's Bath by Mary Cassatt, Allies Day by Childe Hassam, and White Center by Mark Rothko. I think this is a great way to introduce some beauty to people throughout their daily routine.

Which piece of art would you broadcast?
