Sunday night wrapup (8/3)

Reading: Stoner by John Williams. I'm about 40% of the way through and shocked at how amazing it is. I found it through a Goodreads list of once cult favorites you've never heard of. It's about the expectations and disappointments in life; how a man in 1920s and 30s St Louis reconciles his ideal with the day to day.

Watching: Chicago Fire Season 2. So disappointed! I was a huge fan of Season 1 and I feel like it got 20x soapier in about six episodes. A lot of "drama"...and very little permanent movement or development. (There is a point where a character actually says, " We were here a year ago in this same exact position.") My theory is that most of the S1 writing staff has moved over to S1 Chicago PD, so I will give that a shot soon.

Listening: I really like the Grooveshark playlist by Ben for chill indie rock this week: "Sunny Disposition".

Doing: Reorganizing my closet and preparing a bag of stuff for donation. If it doesn't fit or it doesn't work with my wardrobe, it can still be the perfect piece for someone else. It's still mindboggling to me that people throw out their clothes in the trash instead of donate!

Links: This piece that it is still early for the internet. I have been thinking about it a lot. Sure, it may have been easier 5-6 years ago to start a biz, digitally market, or gain an audience, but this is the best time going forward! Read it and maybe you will be as inspired as I am.
