Glamour Doll Eyes (Indie Makeup Swatches)

I was super excited to see a post on Reddit's IndieMakeupandMore forum (if you are a fan of indie makeup hauls and reviews, definitely check it out!) from "Vee" (Vanessa) of Glamour Doll Eyes offering press samples for bloggers. Since I hadn't tried the brand yet, I jumped at the chance!

Top of swatches is bare skin, middle is over ELF primer, and bottom is over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy.

Bittersweet: "A deep taupe base with an orange/gold duochrome" from the "Pick your Poison collection"
This comes up as a gorgeous neutral. It reminds me of a slightly darker brown version of my favorite shade by Urban Decay: "Suspect"
What's My Name?: "Light pink with purple undertones". This may look a bit out there, but I LOVE how it looks on my green eyes. The purple undertones really pop my green eyes without it being in your face.
Love Affair: "Pinkish goldish color" (bestseller). This is a rose gold of my dreams. LOVE!
Rocket: "Almost a gray with blue and dark purple undertones with gold shimmer. Complex" In some lights, this can come up gray...over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, it comes up as greener with a gray shimmer. I live to wear this with a matte khaki green liner to emphasize the green.
Tattooed: "Bright blue mixed with a gorgeous shimmery purple". This is so pigmented and easy to blend. I really like using as a liner over a neutral pink or light brown matte shade lid.
Royal Assassin: "Dark matte purple that has a gold and green sparkle". This is super sparkly in person. I plan on using this in a dark smoky eye look.

Packaging: How cute is the label illustration? I really like that even the samples come in mini jars!

Price: Full sizes are $6.00, samples are $1.25 (Free shipping on samples)

Wear Time: Lasted a full hot day in July with elf primer + Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. No staining and it washed off easily with makeup remover.

Favorites: What's My Name? and Tattooed are GORGEOUS! For my green eyes, What's My Name has the perfect mix of purple and pink, and Tattooed is a crazy vibrant color.

Overall: I wouldn't hesitate to order again! Dee was professional, a quick shipper, and has gorgeous colors. I love that you don't need a primer for most of these shades; sometimes dealing with Pixie Epoxy can be too much in "5 minute makeup" days.

Also-quick tip for navigating the Glamour Doll Eyes website, the unique shades are the ones without the * and the "best sellers" category.
