3 Tips for Long Test Days

It's the night before the test. You've done everything you can do in preparation, but you can still improve your score with these three tips! Beat that long test day!

1. Read something challenging before the test. I know it may be tempting to save all your brain power for the test, but your brain needs a wakeup call! Try a medium-difficulty problem or passage as you get ready in the morning. Even if the test is at 7 am, I make sure to practice a bit beforehand!

2. If there is a break, take advantage of it! No matter what test I am taking, I try to take full advantage of any breaks offered. During the SAT, I made sure to walk around a bit (pacing the hallway) and take a drink of water during the breaks. It doesn't seem like it would make a big difference, but your "100% focus" mindset can take a real break.

3. Plan something fun afterwards: You can either veg by yourself or with friends...so why not hang out after the test? Personally, I think having something fun after the test  I try to get every detail taken care of beforehand, as I know I won't be in the mood to plan immediately after the test.
